Crisis at Community Pregnancy Center

Letter from Executive Director, Candice Keller

On Sunday, January 22, 2012, the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Community Pregnancy Center suffered devastating damage from a water main break occurring on the 4th floor of our facility.  Since our Center occupies the first floor of the building, we experienced the worst possible outcome from this occurrence.  Water poured into our offices and counseling rooms from ceilings, air vents and light fixtures for many hours before it was discovered by city authorities.

We remain determined to continue to operate as one of the largest pro-life agencies in southwest Ohio, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and saving the lives of the innocent unborn.  To that end and until our facility is completely restored to its previous status, we have obtained temporary housing in the Enabled Ministries building at 1035 Central Ave.  The rebuilding project will take 2-3 months.  We now prepare to move what belongings we have remaining and get back to work, even as I am writing this letter.

I have been overwhelmed at the outpouring of affection we have received in these past 72 hours - as so many of you have asked what you can do to help us.  Please prayerfully consider sending us a support check just now, as we will surely incur overwhelming expenses which were not previously considered in our 2012 budget.

A special disaster relief account has been set up for us at LCNB and anyone wishing to simply drive through any of the 21 branch offices (in the seven counties LCNB services) can write a check to: CPC RELIEF FUND and we will receive it immediately.  Or please feel free to mail a check to any LCNB, or to us directly at our address listed below.  We are still maintaining our present mailing address and phone number.

After we are set up at our temporary facility, we will immediately begin to list on our website the material needs we are bound to have (diapers, formula, infant clothing, etc.)  Please check www.pregnancychoice.net periodically as we will update frequently.

We will open Monday, February 6 at Enabled Ministries, 1035 Central Ave.  We will accept material donations at that facility at that time.  We hope to open again in our (new!) old facility before our April 21 “Walk for Life” at Towne Mall.  God is doing amazing things in bringing all these things together so quickly.  “He hath done all things well.”  Mk. 7:37

I stand in amazement at your love for the unborn and support of this ministry.  Your attention to us in this difficult time has meant the world to us!  God surely has a plan and I trust Him implicitly.

Candice Keller

You are not alone.  We can help.  Sometimes, the choices we take bring us to an unexpected place.  The Pregnancy Center has 42 volunteers ready and willing to talk to you about your next step and what your options are.  Your meeting with a client advocate will be private, confidential and caring.  Every year, more than 900,000 teens get pregnant in the United States and most of them feel like no one understands their situation.  Our volunteer advocates are happy to spend time with you to find out what lies ahead and what to expect.

If you are a young mom needing resources such as baby formula, diapers or baby clothing and other items, we are also there to help you with those things as well.  Don’t lose hope...there is a place you can come to where you will find love, understanding and assistance no matter what the situation.

For your convenience, we have two locations - one in Middletown and one in Franklin.  Make an appointment today and we can accommodate your schedule.
