Welcome Home Newborn Visiting Program

Welcome Home is a home visiting program which provides visits by registered nurses to first time parents and teen mothers. Prenatal visits may also be made. During the visit, the registered nurse will be able to answer questions about the health and care of the mother and baby. In addition, they will be able to provide information and referrals about community services and support.

Early Start is a home visiting program which provides visits and community supports for infants and toddlers who are at risk for future developmental delay, child abuse, or neglect.

Early Intervention Services exist in each county and have groups of professionals which identify children who are at risk or have developmental delays or disabilities and network families with needed services within their community. Services are provided in a family-centered manner which means that families are a key part of the decision making process in relation to their child’s needs and care.
